The Develop Niger Delta is an initiative created for the purpose of ensuring transparency, engendering participation and involvement of all within the Niger Delta States in the development goals and strides in the different governmental agencies, establishments and the relevant stakeholders given the mandate to bring about these developments to the people.

The developND platform is a relevant accountability tool that bridges the gap between citizens and duty bearers through the provision of real-time information on the status of development projects being implemented in the region. The platform is designed to facilitate quality dialogue between citizens and duty bearers; citizens can upload the status of various government projects for follow-up and action by the responsible body as a way of improving transparency and accountability in governance.
Currently, some NDDC/MDAs projects are uploaded on the platform, the aim is to embed the web application on the Partners United Platform in a bid to foster and increase public access for Nigeria’s accountability and governance ecosystem and encourage usage by citizens, especially civil society actors and tech partners. In addition, advocate for government MDAs to endorse and adopt the platform. This will contribute to open source data through collective action by accountability partners to demand accountability from duty bearers.
